The gameplay is quite similar. You’ll be matched to players at the same skill level as you. All players use the same deck. Solitaire Smash does this to ensure the game is fair and based purely on skill.

The primary way to make money on this app is to use your money to buy into the tournaments. If you’re uncomfortable with that, you can always play free games. 

Playing free games is also advantageous since it lets you hone your skills before joining the cash tournaments.

Solitaire Smash is one of the most popular gaming apps on the app store. It’s currently ranked 8th in the casino games category.  

There’s a similar app with the same name for Android devices. The app is from another developer. This review is about the iOS app, not the Android app.

You may end up losing more than you earn. 

One way to know if an app is legit is through user reviews. I did that, and most users seem happy with Solitaire Smash. There are many positive reviews, and the app has a high overall rating. 

One upside of Solitaire Smash is its user-friendly interface. Most of the users have won money and have been able to cash out.

However, there are several complaints about the app. Some users claim that you’re matched to bots instead of real people. 

Playing with bots makes winning harder, and you may lose more money than you gain on the app. Some users also claim that the amount of 5-star reviews is fake.

After downloading the app, choose a name and avatar that will be displayed during tournaments. Once you’re done, there’s a tutorial that helps you understand how to play the game. 

Note that you can explore the app without creating an account or submitting personal information like your phone number. Those will be required when you want to cash out.

2. Participate in Free Tournaments

The primary way to make money is by buying into tournaments. However, Solitaire Smash allows you to participate in free tournaments if you don’t wish to deposit your money into the game. 

If you wish to participate in the cash tournaments, you can play free games to practice, hone your skills, and have fun.

Instead of real cash, the currency used in free games is in-game gems. The more you win, the more gems you accumulate.

During the game, you compete against three opponents, and each game is three minutes long. 

You’ll be matched to players of the same skill set as you, and everyone is given the same deck to make the game fair and skill-based, as in the advertising.

You win if you get the highest score. Like many other Solitaire games, the prize is shared among the top three players. 

These games are fun, but remember, you don’t win real money in free games. If you want to make quick money, I recommend buying into the tournaments, though winning isn’t guaranteed.

3. Participate in Cash Tournaments 

As I mentioned earlier, the primary way to make money with Solitaire Smash is by using real cash to buy into the cash tournaments. You can make safe deposits through PayPal and Apple Pay. 

I don’t like the idea of using money to earn money. The good thing is that most tournaments require just a small amount to buy in, ranging from $5 to $20. 

The prize pools usually range between $5 to $120, and it’s shared among the top three players. Therefore, you may lose your buy-in or more money if you don’t perform well.

Take advantage of the in-game features, such as the undo feature. This especially comes in handy when you’re out of moves. You can undo and try a different strategy. 

Also, take advantage of the time bonus. If you run out of moves before the game ends, submit your score to earn the time bonus. Remember, the faster you clear your board, the higher your score.  

Lastly, watch for daily rewards, special events, challenges, and missions. They’re a great way to maximize your earnings.
